This will be short and sweet.
I got up and decided to grab a random waffle recipe to make this morning. After five websites, I gave up and opened TikTok. The reason is the overwhelming volume of advertisements and pop ups on every website I visited. All of the websites I visited made even finding the recipe frustrating, with one completely obliterating the page all together. That was the final straw, and I just decided it was not worth the hassle.
Now, I understand paying for a website can be cost prohibitive so I am primarily looking at those that host your site. Advertising has a place and plays an important role in giving someone who wants a website and wants to save on cost, but there needs to be a limit. To those website hosts, I implore you to consider limiting advertisements per page. Too many defeats the purpose. That last page I visited even had one advertisement block another. To anyone wanting to create a website, perhaps consider your host and how they handle advertisements.
Free websites are great, but you might be losing viewers because of this frustration. Just a thought.
